Lost something while traveling through LYH?
Use the guidance below to identify who to contact. Lost items are handled by the airport, the airline, or TSA depending on where the item was last in your possession.
Helpful tips to improve item recovery
- Report your item as soon as you notice it missing.
- Include distinguishing details (case color, stickers, monograms, etc.).
- If your device has tracking (AirTag, Find My iPhone, Tile), share the last known location in your report.
- Check all three places (airport, airline, TSA) if you’re unsure — items sometimes move between departments.
If you think you lost your item at the airport…
Contact our Lost & Found if you believe your item was left in any public or airport-managed area, including:
- Ticketing/check-in area
- Gate seating & public waiting areas
- Restrooms
- Baggage claim or baggage carousel area
- Airport parking lots, sidewalks, or curbside drop-off
- Airport offices, meeting rooms, or common spaces
Important: Please include as much detail as possible (brand, color, serial number if known, and where/when you last saw it). The more specific you are, the faster we can match your item.
If you think you lost your item on the plane…
If your item was lost onboard the aircraft (seat pocket, overhead bin, under the seat) or while the airline was handling your bags, it is under the airline’s custody.
These situations include:
- Items left in your seat area
- Items left in overhead bins
- Items lost while boarding or deplaning
- Checked baggage that is missing, delayed, or damaged
What to do: Airlines each manage their own Lost & Found systems and baggage services. Please contact your airline directly using the links below.
Travel Tip: If you are still at the airport and notice something missing immediately after your flight, return to the gate area and speak with an airline gate agent as soon as possible.
If you think you lost your item while going through security…
If you believe you left something in the TSA screening area (for example, in a bin or near the checkpoint), TSA handles those items separately from the airport.
